FAQs

About the Work

What does Fiona McTaggart do?

Fiona McTaggart is a UK-based artist and designer creating wallpaper and fabric from hand-cut collage. Each design begins as a layered artwork made from hand-painted papers, which is then developed into immersive repeat patterns for interiors.

What makes Fiona McTaggart’s work different?

Unlike digitally created surface pattern design, Fiona’s work is rooted in physical collage. Each motif is cut, layered, and photographed in natural light, allowing shadows and texture to create depth within the final pattern.

This process gives her wallpapers and fabrics a distinctive, immersive quality that feels both crafted and refined.

Where are Fiona McTaggart’s designs used?

Her wallpaper and fabric are designed for:

  • Interior designers working in hospitality and residential spaces

  • Boutique hotels and restaurants

  • Design-conscious homes

The work is particularly suited to spaces that celebrate nature, wellbeing, and atmosphere.

Can I buy the original collages?

Currently, the original collages are used as the foundation for wallpaper and fabric designs and are not available for sale.

In the future, Fiona may release original artworks or accept collage commissions.
